Struggling to fit self care into your lifestyle?
I get it. It can be hard to juggle life. Whether it’s your full time job, family, a side hustle, working out, etc. It’s important to look after YOURSELF in the midst of all the crazy. Here’s a few tips to making self care a priority.
- Focus on your breathing.
This is something I do pretty regularly when life gets hectic. I take 5 minutes out of my day to just focus on my breathing. I breathe in through my nose for 3 seconds and then breathe out through my mouth for 3 seconds. It helps to ground you & think rationally.
- Take a bubble bath.
We all need to unwind at the end of a long day. My favourite way to unwind is by relaxing in a bubble bath for about half an hour each night, cleanse & moisturise my skin and use a face mask. It feels amazing at the end of a long day!
- Write down a list of things that you’re grateful for.
I do this at the end of each night before I head to bed and it helps to remind me how lucky I am in this life, even if I have had a bad day.
- Play with an animal.
My FAVOURITE thing to do is play and cuddle with my cat. She always makes me feel 10 times better than I was feeling before, even if I hadn’t been having a bad day at all! Visit your local shelter and do a good deed by playing with the animals without a home yet too. You never know, you might just make their day.
